Off to School (Quilt No: 1017605)
I made this quilt for a Keepsake Quilting Challenge. The little boy is my grandson, then age 2, on the first day of nursery school. He was so anxious to be going that he stood by the door for a long time before they were ready to leave.

Horseshoe Crabs and Sand Dollars (Quilt No: 1017604)
Needleturn applique and Hawaiian echo quilting make this quilt swim! Remeinds me of Cape Cod (horseshoe crabs) and Morro Bay (sand dollars).

Layer Circles (Quilt No: 1017603)
This narrow wallhanging was created with fusible-web appliqued circles using every decorative stitch on my machine! then heavily beaded making it sparkle.

Mom (Quilt No: 1017602)
I designed this quilt using the Formal Wedding Photograph taken of my mother on her wedding day, April 25th, 1942. The original is in sepia tones but I chose to do it in grays and white. The original photograph is next to the quilt.

Mahogany Leaf (Quilt No: 1017601)
This quilt was made for a challenge in our small studio group at the local quilt shop. It is based on a Georgia O'Keefe painting - Dark and Lavender Leaf. It hangs over my fireplace in my living room.

Clare's Beach (Quilt No: 1017600)
I made this quilt for my good friend Clare. It is based on a photo I took on Englewood Beach, Florida.

Body Art (Quilt No: 1017599)
This quilt hangs in my son's office. He is a tattoo artist and some of these images are his original designs

Cross by the River (Quilt No: 1017596)
This banner quilt was made for my brother-in-law Sam in memory of his dear wife Joan. Originally it was going to be used as a church banner, but Sam decided to keep it himself for his wall. The three-stream river represents the Holy Trinity. Sam lives by the James River. The picture represents looking across life (from the bay to the mountains), with Jesus as the central theme of their lives together.

Cherries and Berries and Lemon Pies, OH MY (Quilt No: 1017590)
I had 2 weeks to make a quilt for a fundraiser and chose Kool Kaleidoscope because I had wanted to try another way to make a Mandala Quilt. This quilt was created for "Jam and Pie" a benefit for Angelman Syndrome Initiatives at Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, Nashville, TN. I used pie and crust colored fabrics and then embellished it with Swarovski Crystals. The very light colored fabric has musical notes to represent "Jam" - which is Nashville musicians part in the benefit. My nepher Louie is an "Angel" and I do all that I can to help Angelman Syndrome.
